About us
How we nurture confidence, communication and creativity.
Our Approach
Every child is unique and at Drama Kids all of our students are treated equally and given the opportunity to shine, regardless of their level of confidence or ability. We avoid auditions and ensure all our students feel encouraged and nurtured within our classes, enabling them to develop at their own pace.
With a focus on personalisation, each teacher at the academy seeks to gradually integrate their students within the group until they are fully immersed in the fun classroom environment and unaware of any inhibitions they may have had before joining us.
Our teachers interact with the students in an energetic and engaging way to capture their students’ attention and encourage creativity. We aim to make our hour-long sessions an exciting and fun-packed environment for students where they are able to develop social interaction and communication skills, engage creatively and express themselves confidently, both physically and vocally.
The goal
To create fun and inspiring drama classes for children. Classes held in locations across the UK and Worldwide. Helping people of all ages to develop dramatically.
Our aims
To provide a varied and uplifting drama programme for children, increasing their confidence and self-esteem while having fun and making friends.
Academy Years
The Academy year for each age group is made up of three terms, each term concentrates on developmental drama that builds your child’s confidence throughout the year with the final term culminating in a staged performance.
Pre-school programme
Many schools now offer ‘Early Years’, a pre-school programme for 3 and 4 year olds.
Class Structure
Our specially written curriculum and specialist teacher training ensures our students have a balanced, fun-filled lesson every week. Although the structure remains the same each week, each lesson is different and, with the different age groups offered, a child can join the Academy at five years of age and stay until they are 18 without ever repeating a lesson.
- Lower Primary – 5 to 8 years
- Upper Primary – 9 to 11 years
- Upper Senior - 10 to 12 years
- Youth Theatre – 12 years plus

“I would highly recommend this class”
Thank you Drama Kids: Our son has been going to the academy for a number of years and what a difference it has made to his speech and confidence. Our boy is 11 and has oral dyspraxia, which affects his ability to speak clearly and his short term memory. He loves his drama and is very outgoing. He wants to get involved in the drama lessons and annual plays that his primary school put on, but has been held back because of his dyspraxia and has never had a speaking part. Drama Kids has been awesome, the staff are so helpful and understanding of our son’s difficulty and he has always had a proper speaking part, even during the early years. Thank you Drama Kids for helping our son thrive and grow into a confident young man.
